Kind of a rough week here; work was pretty minimal (only three days, but yesterday was looong), and good thing too since I've been sick since Tuesday. It's a really weird bug/sickness: very queasy, very upset stomach, chilly, exhausted, and incredibly achy. It's getting better, but it's taking too long to clear out of my system. I was even sick on Friday, which was my birthday. Damn.
Okay, I'll stop whining now. ;)
On the brighter side, I got an adult coloring book (I mean one for adults, not one that's nothing but smutty coloring pages, haha) for my birthday, and I see the hype now. It's so calming and fun! It's also a great time to knock out some audiobook reading.
As you can imagine, not a good step week! It hurts to move, and it wasn't feasible on Wednesday...or Thursday too much.

ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you about Lissa from Vampire Academy.. I HATED her. I just couldn't.. I found myself skimming her parts.
Right now I'm kind of in a reading slump. I read A Court of Mist and Fury and it's about a million times better than ACOTAR and now I'm just having a hard time getting into other books. LOL! I ended up picking up the long awaited sequel to one of my favorite "childhood" fantasy books and the sequel is terrible.. Like they forgot to edit it or something.. I wonder if it's self published!? Anyways, sorry for the ramble! :D
Oh no! I hope you get to feeling better. I'm glad you're enjoying your adult coloring book. I need to buy one--they're all over Walmart.

I haven't gotten into the colouring book thing. I tried but stressed about colouring outside the lines etc... So - not too relaxing for me. But I know so many people who love it.
ReplyDeleteI had a week like that at work last week. Only three days for me as well but it dragged as I was waiting on stuff so everything felt like it was moving in slow motion!
Aw man sorry you have been sick - especially on your birthday! I love the coloring books I just never have time to really do them but they are so relaxing. Hope you have a great week!
