I Messed Up | Book Tag

Hey, everyone!

I saw this tag while poking around on BookTube, and thought it looked fun and easy. ;) It's a partial list, but let's jump right in!

1.
A person's appearance you misread and imagined differently

Curran! I always pictured him as dark haired, not blonde. It wasn't until book...I dunno, 6 that I registered he was blond. I much prefer a dark haired man, so I guess I just put my preference in and glossed over his description.

2.
A character name you've been mispronouncing

Feyre. I bought the audio version of the book just so I could figure out how the hell to pronounce her name. I was mentally saying Fear-re or Fair-re, but no. It's pronounced Fair-uh.

3. An overused trope that is your guilty pleasure

Friends to lovers, hands down. Show me that on a synopsis and I'm sold.

4. A cliche character type that you like better on screen rather than reading about

That's a hard one for me, since I almost never watch Tv (save for some HGTV and Outlander, of course). Maybe a tortured hero type of cliche? I think an actor can pull of the emotion and create more sympathy from the watcher, where a book character - depending on the author's skill set - can sometimes be exhausting and frustrating.

5. Have you ever (or wanted to) skipped a chapter from the point of view of a character you weren't interested in?

Yup. Several times!

6. Have you ever cancelled social plans to read a book?

What social plans? :p I do not do people 95% of the time, haha.

The Olympic Book Tag

Hey, everyone!

I've seen the Olympic book tag going around a bit lately, and while I'm not much for the event (I'm hard pressed to name a single sport....), I thought the tag looked fun!

This rockstar romance had the perfect mix of swoony hero, spunky heroine, hot sex, and good banter, with enough heart and sweetness to give me the feels.

....Um. I don't know if I've read a road trip book? I've read travel, but not road trip.
Hm. Need to rectify that.

This was the only love triangle I didn't absolutely hate...probably because my guy won and I couldn't stand the other douchecanoe.

I don't get any of this author's work. It's just so bad.

Summer in Paris, with Ansel? Sign me up!

I want to be Kate when I grow up.

Overly dramatic and downright ridiculous? Yes. Lots of ridiculous and dramatic plot twists? Yes. Addictive? Yessssss.

It takes a lot for a book to make me sob (unless a dog dies...then I'm bawling), because I'm fairly soulless. This book, though, made me ugly cry.

I'm glad I watched the show first, or I never would've kept up with and fallen for this book. It doesn't really pick up until around 45-50% in, and it's like 800-some pages.

I adored this series as a child! I was convinced my first dog was going to be a Beagle named Shiloh...and she wound up being a Dachshund named Nola.

Pit Bull rescue!

I almost didn't finish the first book in the Fever series because I could not stand Mac. It's surprising, because now it's one of my all time favorite series!

Charley and Cookie have one of my favorite friendships ever!

Like I said, couldn't name a sport if I tried!

Creatures of The Night Book Tag

Hey, everyone!

Today I'm doing the Creatures of The Night book tag! I have nothing else to post about, and have been diving into a series, so no reviews, plus I'm lazy.

I'm a big paranormal/urban fantasy fan, so what better tag than sharing my favorite creatures of the night? Let's go!

1. Vampire

Bones, because...Bones. One of my favorite book boyfriends of all time, and a bad ass vampire.
Vlad's not too bad, either!
Also my favorite vampire series, thought the ones in the Kate Daniels series intrigue me. Same with Laura Bickle's Hollowed Ones series.

2. Werewolf

I like a good chunk of the wolf pack in the Mercy Thompson series!

3. Zombie

Haven't read too many zombie books, but this is my favorite!

4. Ghost

Favorite ghostly series, and it's made me sleep with the lights on.

5. Witch/warlock/spell-caster

... I can't think of any witchy books I've liked.

6. Fairy/Fae

Fever series!

7. Demon

This is a wildly entertaining and unputdownable take on demons, and oh my god, I just realized the next book is out in less than a month!

8. Angel

Such a guilty pleasure series.

9. Alien

Not an alien fan!

10. Superpower Human

I'm not sure what to call Kate, or if she's entirely human, but that's one bad ass chick!
Also, I want a sword. And a Curran.
