The Sunday Post/It's Monday, What Are You Reading?

Hey, everyone!

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. It's Monday, What Are You Reading is a fun weekly meme hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date where we share what we've read and reviewed over the past week and what we plan to read next.

Happy New Year! I cannot believe it's 2016 - where did last year go?

How did you all celebrate New Year? Being the selectively social person that I am, this was how I rang in the new year:
Chasing River was my last read of 2015, and a 5 star one at that! Not a bad way to end the year, if I do say so myself.

We're finally getting that cold weather that's been MIA the past two months. It's been in the mid-low 50s the past few days, with the coming week showing everything from 52 to 70. Nice!
These temps have had me rocking jeans, a slouchy, vintage-esque long sleeve, and a fishtail braid. I love it.

A fairly decent step week, I think! I've felt pretty crappy the past couple days (I'm fine, just that time of the month), but still got in at least 10,000 steps. It helps that those two pups above keep me on my toes; they trade off on being my running partner.

Read This Week

1.5 stars.
I FINISHED!!! Good god, what a train wreck. Review should be up this week! I have no idea how this was 600+ pages.

5 stars!
I loved this! Now I'm off to Ireland to find a River. ;)

Currently Reading

Ugh, these covers are atrocious. That said, I'm just over halfway through and really enjoying it! Much better than book one.

Only 5 chapters in, but I really like this one!

What Will I Read Next?

Um...good question. Maybe one of these?

I want to burn these covers.

  6. It's always great to read a 5-star novel to end the year - I am glad that it worked out so well for you. I also made sure that the first book I read in 2016 was a 5-star read - Mary Oliver's Felicity. :)

  8. Happy New Year's. I spent my night doing some reading than watching the ball drop. I love the Patrica Briggs books. I try to read them as soon as she comes out with a new one.
