This week was absolutely insane with work, and just really busy overall. It was another working vacation at the beach, which made it a bit less stressful. ;) There wasn't any time for reading though, which is really the only downside. When I wasn't working, I was exploring the beach town or attempting to sleep (insomnia has been a bitch lately).
While tourists are great from a money standpoint, I'll be so glad when they stop congesting the area so much.

It's been something of a mixed week for me, with some serious fun and some serious anxiety. I do have anxiety and while I usually manage it well with the right environment, diet, exercise and mindset, sometimes it just overwhelms me and leaves me a nervous wreck.
On top of that, my poor dog is sick. She picked up some kind of bacteria tthatgrows on the plant life here and now has an infection. She's on a cocktail of antibiotics and seems to be on the mend, but poor girl.

 A working vacation (emphasis on working) at a beach house definitely helped (though of course, the vacation was when my pup got sick) combat the anxiety and I'm feeling more myself now.

And yes, my yoga mat is in rough shape. :p

It's one of those series that isn't the best but is still somehow ridiculously entertaining. 

3.75-4 stars!
Fun, kinda dumb in parts, but fun none the less!

4.5 stars! Audiobook
I could reread this series every month and not get tired of it. Because Bones. 

Currently Reading

It's not bad but it really needs to start wrapping up soon... .

About 15% into it and I'm enjoying it so far. Having a bit of trouble caring about the heroine, though!

The relatives made the vacation something I needed a vacation from. ;) That said, here's some pictures!

Fitness

I kept up with yoga every day, even while at the beach!

I've also been dealing with having to make myself stop, slow down, and take a rest day. It's exceedingly hard for me to do that and I feel antsy and frustrated if I can't get in the minimum 10,000 steps, but there are some days where you just need to stop and rest. Between rain, being rundown from dealing with shitty family, and that time of the month, there was a lot of rising this week.  It's slowly becoming easier, but I still don't like it!

Almost done with this audiobook. I love how these books are just as fun the second (or third) time around!
Also, Reyes really was such a creepy douchecanoe in the first few books. At least he's redeemed himself!

First day of semi-vacation is today! Working a bit, but not as much as usual this time of year and we're staying at a little beach house a tiny way's away from home. We're also dealing with some incoming family (yay....), but I'm really hoping they don't, ah...hang around too much. And that I'll at least get to sleep in before dealing with them. Is that bad to say?

Five Things Friday, No. 3

Hey, ladies!


I've seen the Five Things Friday posts on KimberlyFaye Reads and Brandie is a Book Junkie, and they're some of my favorite post types, so I wanted to jump on the bandwagon. Also, I'm lazy and was getting bored of Cover Lust. ;)

Let's jump right in!

1. Book of The Week

This was AMAZING and definitely lived up to the hype around it! This is new adult at its finest and I highly recommend. 

2. New to My Shelf

I'm in the mood for romantic comedy!

3. Fun This Week

A great reading week with a couple or fantastic books! The weather skyrocketed to almost 90 degrees, then dropped back down to the upper 70s. 

Not so fun this week was our fridge kicked the bucket...then the new one needed a part...thankfully that's sorted out!

5. Looking Ahead 

Crazy busy on Saturday, but then on Sunday we're heading out to the little beach town half an hour from here for a few days of working vacation. Minus the relatives that'll be there was well (but different house, thank god!), it'll be fun!
