The Sunday Post/It's Monday, What Are You Reading?

Hey, ladies!

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. It's Monday, What Are You Reading is a fun weekly meme hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date where we share what we've read and reviewed over the past week and what we plan to read next.

This week was slightly work heavier than it's been lately, with a couple early days, but that's okay. The weather was crazy earlier this week, going from 80 degrees one day to 60 degrees the next, with an enormous storm thrown in for good measure. It's now a gorgeous mid-60s and sunny!

I tried the first two episode of Outlander the other night. I'm not sure how I feel about it - I find the heroine annoying, the shooting/set quality poor, and some aspects of it incredibly dry (so many superfluous scenes!). I almost feel like I'm a good deal younger than the target audience, for some reason; almost like it's meant more for woman in their 40s rather than 20s. Maybe that's just me though?
That said, I was definitely intrigued. I wasn't expecting that much violence/gore or sex, which is always nice. ;) Both episodes ended on a cliffhanger. Oh, and kilts. Can't forget the kilts. I think I'll continue and see what I think!

I did pretty well on my steps this week, and even managed to hit 10,000 steps despite having horrible cramps this weekend. I missed one day of yoga, but that's okay. I really love listening to audiobooks while walking!

Really conflicted on this one.

Love this series. Audiobook.
5 stars!
Another great addition to the series. Audiobook.

Currently Reading
This series is a lot slower/more political than most paranormal or urban fantasy, but I need a new PNR fix since I've gone through Night Huntress, Fever, Kate Daniels, Mercy Thompson and Charley Davidson!
Audiobook
Stupidly light and funny so far.

What Will I Read Next?

  1. Crazy weather! It was fairly nice and warm this weekend, though really windy. It's now supposed to get colder and colder and snow on Thursday. hahah

  2. I can't wait to see what you think of the new Sheridan book. It sounds good! Great steps as always. I couldn't get into the book of Outlander - tried 3 times. I've not tried the show yet. Everyone I know seems to love it!
