The Sunday Post/It's Monday, What Are You Reading?

Hey, ladies!

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. It's Monday, What Are You Reading is a fun weekly meme hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date where we share what we've read and reviewed over the past week and what we plan to read next.

How is it almost Thanksgiving, much less how is there a month until Christmas?! This year has absolutely flown by.
No huge plans for the upcoming holiday; just a traditional-Thanksgiving-food dinner with the immediate family (which is a lot of people! I'm the oldest of 7....) on Wednesday, and then a larger family gathering at my grandma's on the actual day. Should be fun, for the most part. ;) After that, it'll be time to get the Christmas tree on Friday, one of my favorite traditions!

This time last year there was ice every morning, and it wasn't getting above the low 50s during the day (north FL). This year, we've had zero cool days. It's been in the upper 70s and mid to low 80s all month. We're suppose to be getting a cold front that'll drop us into the low 60s and upper 50s, with lows in the high 30s, but I'll believe that when I see it.

Not much else has been going on this week, other than work and an unexpected vet visit with my rescued puppy. There's always something with her! Thankfully she's okay now, and we got the problem identified (a sensitivity to a drug she's on for her skin).

I've dropped my running down to 3 days a week instead of 5, at least until I get new shoes and remember to pick up more wrap for my ankle. It's been buckling worse than normal since my shoes started to wear thin. Hoping it stops once I replace my old Nikes. To compensate for that, I've started walking some at night with my most hyper dog. Not too terribly long, maybe 30-45 minutes, but I'm enjoying it!

Steps this week:

Sunday - 19,698
Monday - 22,805
Tuesday - 18,237
Wednesday - 14,396
Thursday - 8,635
Friday - 17,110
Saturday - 17,854

Total - 118,735

Read This Week

Now that I finished my Goodreads 2015 Reading Challenge, my reading has slowed way down. However, that's a good thing! I'm being a lot pickier with what I'm reading, and therefore reading books I'm truly loving. I don't think I've had a book lower than 3.5 stars in weeks, with the majority scoring a solid 4 stars. I've had several 5 star reads lately, too!

4 stars!

4 starrs!

5 stars!

Currently Reading

Holy hell, I am LOVE with this! I started it yesterday and am about 45% in. I had to pry myself away from the book to write this book.
I think Slammed and Never Never may just be knocked out of the way as my favorite CoHo book. Move over, Will Cooper! I adore Ben. <3

This is an audiobook, and while I'm not crazy about either narrator, I'm enjoying the story for the most part. Mia Sheridan is a gifted author.

Still reading this. :p I'm only doing a few pages at a time, and it's been pushed back in favor of Nov. 9, but I will finish it soon!

What Will I Read Next?

  4. I'm so happy to see you're loving November 9!!

I had to scrape frost off my windshield this morning - you can have some of our cold! Lol. But I know if I lived in Florida, I'd miss the colder temps this time of year. I'm just not ready for the snow, yet!

I can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving, either. I haven't even started my Christmas shopping, and I'm normally done by now. Major slacker this year!

I got new shoes last week and it made all the difference. They're Nikes and I LOVE them. Highly recommend getting a new pair! You're still rocking your step count, though.

    Have a great week!
